McKinney (Advertising / Marketing Firm)

I never thought advertising and marketing would be so fun until this group came to talk to the class. They were able to show us what key parts goes into advertising. Advertising is basically a subset of marketing, which means it brings the product or service to the public's attention. Examples of different adverting are commercials, print adds, an experience for people, and games as well.

One of McKinney's top clients is Jared which is a Jewelry company. They were able to work with Jared because the company needed help with their advertisements. The strategies that McKinney used to convince Jared they were right for them was making fake adds and getting them to understand how much their advertising was going to work for them. In order for this pitch process to work they had to visit many of the 240 stores that Jared has, to collect data from them. These are the steps they have to take to land deals with these companies.

There are so many different teams within advertising, which means there are many jobs as well. I'm just glad they took the time to come visit Central and show us these opportunity's. Honestly its our job to take the opportunity.
